Sir Isaac Newton (Red)

When he was a boy Isaac was bottom of the class at Grantham Grammar School, but he wanted to prove to the bullies that he was better than them.
He began to work hard and he was soon at the top of the class.
He started work as a farmer, but did not enjoy it.
He studied maths, which was his favourite subject, and went on to Cambridge University, where he became a professor.
By the time he was 30 he had made several very important discoveries, and written a famous science book.
At Queens' we still use many of his ideas and methods in science.
